Our client is one of the largest importers and distributors of fresh produce and specialty foods in Australia. They are continuously growing and are seeking to add an IT Project Manager to their growing team of dynamic and committed professionals.
The Project Manager provides the necessary project management leadership to plan, prepare, organise, monitor, and oversee IT integration exercises to ensure achievement of business synergies. He/She plays an essential role in the IT integration of acquired entities serving as the liaison between Executive Leadership and operational stakeholders to ensure seamless communication through all phases of integration.
Responsibilities
- Utilizes project management methodology to initiate, plan, organize, execute, and control projects.
- Partners with integration team to manage integration plan, including implementing the meeting schedule and related agendas.
- Develops, maintains and tracks detailed project plans and prioritizes IT integration tasks to achieve project milestones and goals.
- Work with business leaders to build dashboards and custom reports to track key metrics.
- Experience building data warehouse environments.
- Demonstrate great judgment in quickly forming actionable, data-driven conclusions in the face of uncertainty.
- Proactively make recommendations for new tests and initiatives to improve key metrics and customer outcomes.
- Holds regular team meetings for project status updates.
- Responsible for effective communication within the project team senior leadership.
- Prepares status reports and updates to senior leadership.
- Maintains project documentation including meeting minutes, action items, issues lists etc.
- Develops and maintains best practice templates and tools.
- Develops recommendations for process and policy improvements.
- Manages one or more projects individually or within a wider project team.
Selection Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Atleast 10 years of relevant work experience in software development.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is highly desirable
- 5 years Project Management experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including good communication with the ability to articulate ideas in a precise and concise manner.
