Business System Analyst

Our client is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join a group of dynamic and innovative designers and technologists. The ideal candidate will understand the deep connections between the business units and the supporting systems helping both in their evolution to meet the rapidly changing environment and work with internal stakeholders, user groups, technical systems groups, solution providers, and support groups to ensure that the solutions support the business and operational requirements.

Responsibilities

• Obtain information that explains the day in the life of the end-user to better understand enhancement and support requests.
• Capture requirements for enhancement, support, and bug-fixing requests to the existing retail systems configuration.
• Clearly document requirements inclusive of use cases, process flows, and mockups.
• Ensure requests remain on track by clearly communicating requirements, tracking progress, and escalating issues/risks/blockers to the appropriate stakeholders.
• Configure various retail systems settings to deliver user requirements and business process needs.
• Work with all business units to proactively monitor, identify, and resolve ongoing ad-hoc supports and questions.
• Assist team to ensure smooth delivery and support of solutions to the business.
• Evaluate the systems and processes for optimization opportunities. Identify solutions and implement requirements with sustainability and maintainability in mind.
• Create and maintain user guides, troubleshooting guides, and system-related procedures with clarity and accuracy for training and reference.
• Coach and train system users.

Selection Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 7+ years experience as a business systems analyst in the technology domain (preferably retail sector)
• Incident management experience
• Experience in Point of Sales (POS), payment, CMS, ERP, E-Commerce is essential
• ITIL/CBAP Certification is a huge bonus.
