Take ownership of database architecture and migration strategy across Oracle, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server. You’ll be instrumental in moving critical data workloads to the cloud while maintaining security and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Design and manage relational and non-relational database schemas across multiple platforms
- Lead data modelling efforts and create sophisticated migration scripts
- Optimise database performance through schema design and tuning
- Execute secure data migrations to cloud platforms with zero tolerance for data loss
- Ensure data integrity and implement best-practice security controls
- Collaborate with application teams to support database requirements
Selection Criteria
- Expert-level knowledge of Oracle, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server
- Strong data modelling skills and experience with complex migrations
- Hands-on experience with cloud database platforms (Azure preferred)
- Deep understanding of database security, compliance, and performance optimisation
- Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to data integrity
- Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
