React and Node.js Developer

Our client is a leading logistics company in Australia, currently seeking an experienced React and Node.js Developer to join their dynamic project team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the reimagining of a critical product portal designed to provide a modern, secure, and user-friendly experience, improving services for both customers and staff. The successful candidate will have the chance to work on a cutting-edge project that enhances user experience while retaining existing business functionalities.

This contract role is initially for 6 months with a high chance of multiple extensions for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features for a reimagined product.
• Develop and maintain scalable, efficient, and high-performance web applications using React.js and Node.js.
• Design and implement modern, secure, and user-friendly interfaces for better user experience while retaining existing functionality.
• Build and optimize APIs, microservices, and server-side logic in Node.js.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, following best practices for front-end and back-end development.
• Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and debugging, ensuring optimal performance.
• Work closely with UX/UI designers to deliver high-quality, responsive, and visually appealing user interfaces.
• Stay up to date with the latest technologies, trends, and best practices in React, Node.js, and web development.

Selection Criteria

• 5 to 7 years of full-stack development experience, ideally with a focus on web applications.
• Strong front-end skills using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks like React or Vue.js.
• Proven experience in back-end development with Node.js, building and optimizing scalable web applications.
• Proficiency with Azure cloud platforms and experience with Oracle and MS SQL Server databases.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Experience in B2B environments, with bonus points for experience in the logistics industry.
• A continuous improvement mindset for both work processes and professional development.
