Senior Data Scientist

We’re looking for a Senior Data Scientist / Data Engineer to design and deliver end-to-end data solutions that improve forecasting, streamline operations, and enable smarter decision-making.

This role blends deep technical expertise with practical business problem-solving. You’ll work closely with operational stakeholders and technical teams to build scalable models, engineer robust pipelines, and turn raw logistics data into actionable insights.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Use Case Development: Engage with stakeholders to assess data readiness and define analytics-driven value propositions across logistics functions like delivery optimisation, fleet management, and inventory control

• Data Analysis: Conduct in-depth statistical analyses and data mining to uncover operational inefficiencies and identify improvement opportunities

• Model Development: Build, validate, and optimise machine learning models for demand forecasting, network optimisation, and route planning using Python and the Azure tech stack

• Collaboration: Translate business problems into technical solutions, working with cross-functional teams across operations, IT, and leadership

• Presentation: Communicate model outputs and insights in a clear, actionable format to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Deployment: Partner with architects and engineers to deploy ML models into production, ensuring reliability, scalability, and seamless integration into existing systems

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline

• 5-7 years of hands-on experience in data science or data engineering, preferably with exposure to logistics or supply chain systems

• Strong proficiency in Python and data science libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn)

• Advanced SQL skills and experience in data modeling

• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks

• Proven experience working with cloud platforms, particularly Azure (e.g., Azure ML, Synapse, Data Factory, Azure SQL)
