As an integral member of our Enterprise Architecture Team, the Enterprise Data Architect is entrusted with setting the strategy for our client’s data architecture, ensuring execution aligns with the target state. Responsibilities include crafting and implementing data standards, policies, and procedures, designing data models, and providing oversight for the data warehouse and other repositories.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Solutioning & Architecture team to shape priorities and the Data Strategy and Architecture transformation roadmap.
- Develop and maintain the enterprise data architecture, encompassing standards, policies, and procedures.
- Manage a comprehensive roadmap for architecture change initiatives across the client, coordinating requirements among different projects.
- Build and maintain essential Enterprise Architecture artifacts, such as Entity Relationship Models and Data dictionaries.
- Design and implement data models, ensuring alignment with business units’ data needs.
- Actively participate in implementing an Enterprise Information Management strategy and solution.
- Contribute to evolving Data Governance practices and influencing the adoption of data standards.
- Establish governance of business concepts to standardize meaning and reduce duplication of data assets.
Selection Criteria
- Only Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents are eligible to apply.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of data governance and data quality principles.
- 5+ years of experience in data architecture and management.
- Proficient in problem-solving, data modeling (logical, physical, semantic, and integration models), normalization, OLAP / OLTP principles, and entity relationship analysis.
- Experience mapping Enterprise data entities to business capabilities and applications.
- Knowledge of business ecosystems, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, SOA, APIs, open data, microservices, event-driven IT, and predictive analytics.
- Expertise in data warehousing, dimensional modeling, data lake, and data pipeline development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proven experience leading complex, large-scale strategic initiatives.
