Our client, in Sydney, is one of the well established financial service providers in Australia. It offers a full range of financial products and services and is seeking innovative, customer focused people to join their team! This position is responsible for supporting end users and their equipment; includes break-fix and technical guidance and support. The ideal candidate must have excellent problem solving and can perform moderately complex tasks associated with IT Operations.
This is a 6 Month contract with high chances of extension or getting permanent.
Responsibilities
- Perform first-level diagnosis and troubleshooting support to end-users..
- Responsible for the configuration and installation of computer systems.
- Troubleshoot & support software applications, various hardware/software configurations and run appropriate testing & diagnostics.
- Document incidents/problems and clearly document the issue, troubleshooting steps taken, and comments in an incident management system.
- Provide support in accordance with established processes.
- Contribute to Knowledge Base Support documentation to aid in the resolution & fulfilment processes related to Incident Management & Service Request Management.
- Ensure that all requests from users/customers are handled promptly and effectively, and are responsibly and professionally resolved to the satisfaction of the customer.
- Assist in maintaining the IT equipment inventory, software license inventory and compliance.
- Keeps customer informed of how and when issues are resolved.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance of standards, and quality control procedures.
- Participate in a team responsible for Disaster Recovery and ensure DR kits are maintained and up to date.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, able to adapt to frequent change and work a flexible schedule
Selection Criteria
- At least 3 years of work experience within a technical support or customer support role.
- Experience with Microsoft cloud based technologies including Office 365 and Azure.
- Strong organizational, verbal and written skills.
- Related technical degrees/certifications are a plus.
